Team Press Release

For the second year in a row, members of the Alabama Renegades Womens Full Contact Football team were invited to speak at Career Day at Heritage Elementary School in Madison. Char Cyr and Jamie Flynt spoke to students about their jobs as engineers and about playing womens football. The ladies had a great time speaking and the kids seem to really enjoy their participation. "The kids were great. They seemed intrigued with both of us being women engineers and football players", said Flynt. Cyr noted, "Just that as usual the kids always want to know if we’ve ever broken bones."

The Renegades, whose 2008 football season starts in April, look forward to continuing support of local organizations and schools.

The Alabama Renegades are part of the National Women's Football Association (NWFA). The NWFA is the largest league in the world for women's full contact football. For additional information on the Alabama Renegades or the NWFA, please visit www.alabamarenegades.net.
